The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of programming, databases, and data-processing concepts. This role provides hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, cloud data platforms, workflow automation, and modern data engineering practices.

At Data Eminence, we believe reliable data infrastructure is the foundation of effective analytics and intelligent applications. As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with data analysts, software engineers, and machine learning teams to build and maintain data pipelines and processing systems.

Your responsibilities will include

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines.
- Collect and integrate data from databases, APIs, and external sources.
- Build ETL and ELT workflows for data transformation.
- Clean, validate, and standardize datasets.
- Develop scripts for automated data extraction and processing.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets.
- Assist in designing data warehouses and data storage structures.
- Monitor data pipeline performance and troubleshoot failures.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes.
- Automate repetitive data engineering workflows.
- Maintain reliable and consistent data processing systems.
- Collaborate with analysts to understand data requirements.
- Support data integration for dashboards and machine learning models.
- Assist with cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Document data pipelines, schemas,



and processing workflows.
- Follow data security, privacy, and governance practices.
- Research modern data engineering technologies and automation tools.

You will gain practical experience with Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Pandas, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Git/GitHub, and data pipeline automation. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work with real datasets, develop automated pipelines, troubleshoot data-processing issues, and build scalable infrastructure for analytics and data-driven applications.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in data engineering or relevant projects.
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Python programming.
- Basic understanding of ETL and ELT processes.
- Knowledge of database design and data modeling.
- Familiarity with data cleaning and transformation.
- Understanding of data warehouses and data pipelines.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar tools is a plus.
- Understanding of APIs and data integration.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
