Role Description The Clinical Data Abstractor is a full-time, on-site/hybrid/remote role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for reviewing clinical records and extracting accurate, relevant data according to defined guidelines, quality standards, and registry or reporting requirements. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting medical documentation, coding and entering data into clinical or administrative systems, and verifying data completeness and consistency.

Abstractor collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to clarify documentation, supports compliance and reporting initiatives,



and helps maintain up-to-date databases for quality improvement and analytics. The role also involves adhering to confidentiality standards, participating in audits, and continuously updating knowledge of clinical terminology and data abstraction standards.

Qualifications

MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, D-PHARM

- Strong clinical documentation review and data abstraction skills, with the ability to interpret medical records accurately.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and basic coding concepts (e.g., ICD, CPT) relevant to hospital and healthcare settings.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR), clinical registries, and data entry or reporting tools.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to follow structured protocols and quality standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders.
- Ability to work in office in Bengaluru, manage time efficiently, and handle confidential patient information responsibly.
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Nursing, Allied Health, Life Sciences, Health Information Management) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in clinical data abstraction, quality reporting, or healthcare analytics is preferred; familiarity with US healthcare systems is an advantage.
