Role Description The Bima Sakhi role is a full-time position based in Lucknow, structured as a hybrid role that combines in office work with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Bima Sakhi engages with individuals and families to explain LIC products, assess insurance needs, and support them in choosing suitable plans. Daily responsibilities include meeting prospective customers in the community, providing information on life and health insurance, assisting with proposal forms and documentation, and guiding policyholders through premium payments and basic service requests.

and coordinates with LIC branches and teams to ensure timely policy issuance and service.

Qualifications

- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse individuals, including strong listening skills and basic proficiency in local languages and English.
- Customer service orientation, with skills in building trust, explaining financial products simply, and providing ongoing support to policyholders.
- Basic numeracy and comfort working with simple financial calculations related to premiums, benefits, and payment schedules.
- Organizational skills for managing appointments, maintaining records, and following up with customers and LIC offices.
- Comfort using mobile phones and basic digital tools for calls, messaging, and simple online forms; willingness to learn LIC systems and processes.
- Ability to travel locally within Lucknow and nearby areas as required for client visits and outreach activities.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at the secondary or higher secondary level, with any additional training in sales, insurance, or community work considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and commitment to promoting financial protection and inclusion, especially for underserved communities.
