Role Description The Associate Professor of Computer Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a focus on fostering strong theoretical foundations and practical skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating curricula, supervising student projects and research, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental and university-level academic initiatives.



The role also involves conducting independent and collaborative research, publishing in reputed journals and conferences, and participating in academic events, committees, and outreach activities.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at Amity University, Ranchi, requiring regular presence on campus for teaching, student engagement, and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

- Robust expertise in core Computer Science concepts and applications.
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development for undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science programs.
- Applied knowledge in Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning, and related tools.
- Specialization or significant experience in Cybersecurity, including security frameworks and best practices.
- Advanced Programming skills in relevant languages and paradigms for teaching and research.
- Doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Previous experience in teaching at the university level, preferably in a similar role.
- Ability to use modern educational technologies and learning management systems effectively.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and collaborative skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical academic practices.
