About the Role

Techylla is looking for an experienced and passionate AR / Spatial Computing Developer who can turn a business brief into a reliable working product. You will help a team to build an iPad application designed to extend to AR, using spatial mapping.

Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of the iPad AR application, balancing scope, quality, usability, schedule, and budget.
- Translate warehouse and logistics workflows into intuitive spatial-computing experiences for non-technical floor teams.
- Use ARKit, RealityKit, LiDAR, RoomPlan, and related Apple frameworks to map physical spaces and anchor information accurately to shelves, pallets, labels, and locations.
- Build reliable barcode and QR scanning workflows using Vision, VisionKit, or AVFoundation, including support for challenging lighting and operating conditions.
- Create clear, responsive interfaces in SwiftUI that minimise taps, visual clutter, and training needs.
- Integrate securely with enterprise APIs and back-end services using modern authentication patterns such as OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect.
- Design for intermittent connectivity, offline operation, data synchronisation, and graceful recovery in warehouse environments.
- Collaborate closely with the project lead, back-end and AI engineers, product stakeholders, and business subject-matter experts.
- Demonstrate progress weekly and deliver stable TestFlight builds, concise demo videos, and transparent status updates.
- Profile and optimise performance, battery use, memory, rendering, tracking stability, and device-specific behaviour.
- Document architecture, setup, key decisions, limitations,



and a practical roadmap for extending the product to visionOS and other devices.
- Apply strong engineering practices, including modular design, testing, code review, source control, privacy, and secure handling of enterprise data.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/B.E.) or master’s degree (M.Tech/M.E./M.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional native iOS development experience using Swift, with strong proficiency in SwiftUI.
- Hands-on experience building and demonstrating AR applications with ARKit and RealityKit.
- Experience with spatial anchors, scene understanding, ray casting, world tracking, and 3D content placement.
- Practical experience with on-device computer vision, barcode or QR scanning, and camera-based workflows.
- Experience integrating iOS applications with REST APIs, authentication services, and enterprise back ends.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, application architecture, debugging, testing, and performance optimisation.
- Ability to convert ambiguous business requirements into scoped, testable, shippable product increments.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-directed, dependable, and comfortable owning delivery in a fast-moving proof-of-concept environment.

- Experience with LiDAR scene reconstruction, RoomPlan, Reality Composer Pro, Metal, SceneKit, or Model I/O.
- Hands-on development for visionOS or Apple Vision Pro, including RealityView, immersive spaces, and shared Swift packages across iPadOS and visionOS.
- Experience designing AR interfaces for warehouses, manufacturing, field service, retail, or other industrial environments.
- Familiarity with 3D asset pipelines, USDZ, photogrammetry, occlusion, lighting, and spatial audio.
- Experience with offline-first data patterns, Core Data or SwiftData, background synchronisation, and resilient networking.
- Exposure to SAP, BTP, warehouse-management systems, or enterprise integration landscapes.
- Experience working in an IT services or consulting environment supporting client-facing delivery.
- Published App Store or TestFlight applications, open-source contributions, or a portfolio of relevant spatial-computing work.
