About the Role

Agonda Palm Beach Resort is looking for a hardworking, reliable and energetic Kitchen Helper to join our beachfront restaurant, The Rolling Sea.

This is a hands-on, all-rounder position involving basic food preparation, assisting chefs, kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, stock handling and maintaining hygiene standards.

We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes initiative and supports the kitchen team wherever required.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist chefs with daily food preparation and mise-en-place.
- Wash, peel, chop and prepare vegetables and other ingredients.
- Assist with basic cooking, plating and food preparation under the chef's supervision.
- Help prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
- Wash and clean utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment when required.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen workstations, preparation tables, shelves and equipment.
- Sweep, scrub and mop kitchen floors, including underneath equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, storage areas, sinks and drains.
- Assist with receiving, carrying, checking and storing kitchen supplies.
- Follow proper food storage, labelling and FIFO procedures.
- Segregate and dispose of kitchen waste correctly.
- Complete daily opening, closing, hygiene and cleaning checklists.
- Assist with scheduled deep cleaning of the kitchen and equipment.
- Follow food safety, personal hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Report stock shortages, damaged equipment and hygiene concerns.
- Support chefs and kitchen utility staff during busy service periods.
- Complete all assigned duties before leaving the shift.

Candidate Requirements

- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred.
- Freshers willing to learn and work hard are welcome.




- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene is an advantage.
- Willing to perform cleaning, dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
- Physically fit and comfortable with standing, lifting and active kitchen work.
- Hardworking, punctual, honest and disciplined.
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently.
- Willing to learn basic cooking skills and assist across kitchen sections.
- Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on kitchen environment.
- Able to work long or split shifts, weekends and public holidays within applicable labour laws.
- Versatile with duty rosters and scheduled weekly offs.
- Comfortable working as part of a small team.

Seasonal Employment & Working Hours

This is a seasonal position, generally from September/October until May or early June.

Our restaurant operates from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Duty timings may include long or split shifts depending on kitchen operations. Weekly offs are scheduled according to business requirements, with legally required breaks, rest and overtime arrangements.

Candidates must be comfortable with seasonal employment.
