Job Title: Cashier
Department: Finance / Operations
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Supervisor

1. Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments, processing billing transactions, maintaining accurate cash records, and providing excellent customer service. The role ensures that all transactions are completed accurately and that daily cash collections are properly accounted for.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers politely and provide efficient service at the billing counter.
- Prepare customer bills accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other approved payment methods.
- Verify bills, discounts, offers, and payment details before completing transactions.
- Issue receipts to customers and ensure all payments are recorded correctly.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales, cash collections, and payment transactions.
- Reconcile cash and card/UPI transactions at the end of each shift.
- Report any cash shortages, excess amounts, billing errors, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper handling and security of cash and other payment instruments.
- Coordinate with service staff, kitchen staff, and management to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing counter.
- Follow company policies, billing procedures, and financial control guidelines.




- Perform other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or management.

3. Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum qualification: Higher Secondary / Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or restaurant billing experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computers and POS billing systems.
- Positive numerical and calculation skills.
- Knowledge of cash handling and digital payment procedures.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Honest, responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of billing and payment transactions.
- Proper reconciliation of daily cash collections.
- Minimum billing errors and cash discrepancies.
- Customer satisfaction and service efficiency.
- Compliance with company cash-handling procedures.
- Timely submission of daily sales and closing reports.

5. Working Conditions

The Cashier will work at the designated restaurant outlet and may be required to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to business requirements.

Note: The Cashier is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, secure cash handling, proper transaction recording, and professional customer service at all times.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
