About Bee Skilled

Bee Skilled is a community-led, accredited digital learning organisation for health professionals across Africa and other emerging markets. We build career-oriented curricula, host learning platforms, deliver training cohorts and secure accreditation for learning, at a tenth of the cost of conventional training. Bee Skilled was founded in India in 2020, registered in the United Kingdom in 2025 and focuses on Africa.

Our learning platform, the Hive, has more than 7,000 members and has reached health professionals in over 40 African countries. Learners have earned more than 3,000 continuing career development (CPD) certificates. We have developed more than 30 eLearning courses for institutional clients in English, French and Arabic. Our learning is recognised by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the CPD Certification Service (UK) and national pharmacy bodies in Kenya, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.

Overview of the role

As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will join the Research and Content Development team and turn expert knowledge into competency-based eLearning that health professionals can apply at work. You will design curricula, learning outcomes, storyboards and assessments using Bee Skilled’s Learning Outcomes Framework and the ADDIE model, then build courses for the Hive and for client platforms.

Most projects cover health supply chain, pharmacy practice,



pharmaceutical quality assurance, antimicrobial resistance and regulatory affairs. You do not need a health background, but you must learn the basics of each subject quickly. Clients include ministries of health, professional councils, universities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and international partners such as the European Union, EPN, QUAMED, ACAME, Management Sciences for Health etc.

We expect you to be proactive, to take ownership of your work and to act with integrity.

Responsibilities and duties

A. Analysis and design

a. Analyse learner needs and competency gaps with subject matter experts (SMEs) and clients.

b. Write measurable learning outcomes using Bloom’s Taxonomy and the Learning Outcomes Framework.

c. Prepare curricula and course outlines with experts, mapped to defined competencies.

d. Write storyboards in Bee Skilled’s format, applying adult learning and multimedia principles.

B. Development

a. Build interactive courses in Articulate Storyline, Rise and H5P, with supporting media in PowerPoint and Canva.

b. Design scenarios, gamified activities and knowledge checks that improve retention and completion.

c. Use approved AI tools for research, voice-overs and avatar videos, and verify every output.

d. Prepare content for production in English and support development in French and Arabic by providing support in translation review.

e. Write original content,



even when adapting third-party material, and record every source.

C. Assessment, quality and evaluation

a. Design assessments and competency assessment tools aligned to learning outcomes.

b. Manage SME review cycles, proofread content, check accessibility and maintain version control.

c. Publish and test SCORM packages on the Hive and client learning management systems (LMS).

d. Support evaluation at Kirkpatrick Levels 1 to 3 using learner feedback and assessment data.

D. Liaison, Community and team support

a. Act as liaison for specific client projects, must have valuable client level communication skills, and manage project trackers.

b. Provide content for newsletters when its linked to content that is being developed

c. Support other colleagues in other teams with respect to provide necessary content

d. Meet at least 90% of your half-yearly targets and support the business unit’s revenue targets.

Required qualifications and experience

- Master’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, English or a related discipline. A certification in instructional design is highly preferred.

- A minimum experience of 4 years in instructional design or eLearning development.

- A portfolio of work, such as storyboards, eLearning modules or assessments, to share at shortlisting.

- Proficiency in French is highly preferred.

Pay: ₹750,000.00 - ₹950,000.00 per year
