The venue offers Middle Eastern cuisine and all-day dining, along with specialty coffee, craft matcha, and a curated selection of craft beers. Guests can visit throughout the day, from breakfast and coffee to lunch, evening brews, and dinner, making it a versatile space for different occasions.

Role Description The Purchasing Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, supporting the procurement needs of Habibi’s Cafe & Bistro. This role involves preparing and processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of ingredients, beverages, and supplies. The Purchasing Assistant will maintain vendor records, compare quotations, and support negotiations to achieve cost-effective purchasing while meeting quality standards. Daily tasks include coordinating with the kitchen and bar teams to forecast requirements, monitoring inventory levels, and communicating with suppliers to resolve discrepancies or delays.



The role also requires maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with purchase-related reports, and following internal purchasing procedures and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and purchasing best practices.
- Ability to prepare, review, and manage purchase orders accurately.
- Knowledge of procurement principles and experience supporting procurement activities.
- Effective communication skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Attention to detail, solid numerical skills, and basic proficiency with spreadsheets or purchasing software.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in F&B; or hospitality, is an advantage.
- Relevant educational background in business, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
