Banyan Tree School is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to teach vocal and instrumental music to students from Classes I to XII and support their musical skills, creativity, discipline, confidence, and overall development.

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Music, preferably in Classical Music.
- Degree/Diploma in Music from a recognised institution.
- 3–5 years of relevant school teaching experience Preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Classical and/or traditional music.
- Good communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to train students for performances, competitions, and school events.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct appropriate Music classes for Classes I to XII.
- Teach vocal music, basic music theory, ragas, taal, rhythm, and musical concepts.




- Develop students’ singing, listening, rhythm, and performance skills.
- Prepare lesson plans and structured music activities.
- Assess students’ musical skills, participation, and progress.
- Encourage discipline, creativity, confidence, and appreciation of music.
- Identify and support students with musical talent and potential.
- Prepare and train students for school functions, competitions, assemblies, and cultural events.
- Organise and support music performances and other cultural activities.
- Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain attendance, assessment, and activity records.
- Work with teachers and school leadership to support students’ overall development.
