The role requires someone with strong communication, people-management, organisational, and problem-solving skills who can independently manage the complete HR and recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

- Develop clear job descriptions and post vacancies on relevant job portals, recruitment platforms, and professional networks.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and shortlist candidates based on their skills, experience, attitude, and suitability for the organisation.
- Understand people beyond their resumes and assess their communication, behaviour, capabilities, and role suitability.
- Coordinate interviews with management and follow up with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Visit colleges, educational institutions, and training institutes for campus recruitment, placement drives, and talent acquisition.
- Maintain a database of candidates, interview feedback, and recruitment progress.

2. Employee Management & Human Understanding

- Understand employee behaviour, workplace dynamics, and individual concerns to manage people effectively.
- Act as a bridge between employees and management, ensuring clear communication and professional working relationships.
- Handle employee grievances, workplace conflicts, and behavioural issues with maturity, fairness, and confidentiality.
- Help management address employee performance, discipline, accountability, and workplace conduct.
- Maintain a professional, productive, and positive work setting.

3. Company Policies & HR Communication

- Develop a thorough understanding of company policies, rules, employment terms, attendance requirements, leave policies, and internal procedures.
- Clearly explain company policies, terms, and expectations to new and existing employees.
- Ensure employees understand their responsibilities, benefits, rules, and consequences of non-compliance.
- Communicate policy updates and ensure consistent implementation across departments.
- Maintain employee records, joining documentation, employment agreements, and other HR-related documents.

4. Attendance & Leave Management

- Monitor daily employee attendance, working hours, late arrivals, absenteeism, and leave records.
- Identify and resolve attendance discrepancies, missed punches, irregular attendance, and related employee concerns.
- Coordinate with employees and department managers to ensure attendance records are accurate and updated.
- Track leave balances, approved leaves, and unauthorised absences.
- Ensure attendance data is finalised correctly before monthly salary processing.

5. Payroll & Salary Calculations

- Calculate monthly salaries based on attendance, paid and unpaid leaves, late marks, overtime, incentives, and other applicable components.
- Verify attendance and payroll data before preparing the monthly salary sheet.
- Coordinate with management and the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate salary processing.
- Maintain salary records, payroll sheets, deductions, and employee-related payment information.
- Identify and resolve salary discrepancies and employee payroll queries.
- Ensure applicable statutory deductions and payroll requirements are handled correctly, in coordination with the accounts team.

6. HR Administration & Reporting

- Maintain accurate employee databases,

attendance records, recruitment trackers, and personnel files.
- Manage employee onboarding, induction, documentation, and exit formalities.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment, employee attendance, leave, payroll, and other HR activities.
- Ensure HR processes are organised, consistent, confidential, and aligned with management requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Prior experience in recruitment, HR operations, and employee management.
- Strong understanding of human behaviour, interpersonal relationships, and people management.
- Excellent communication, listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand hiring requirements accurately and identify suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail in attendance tracking, salary calculations, and documentation.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets and HR management tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with fairness, discretion, and professionalism.
- Comfortable visiting colleges and institutes for recruitment activities.
- Ability to work independently, coordinate with management, and ensure tasks are completed on time.

What We Are Looking For

- Understands people, not just processes. Can assess candidates and handle employees based on their behaviour, abilities, and circumstances.
- Understands management requirements clearly. Can convert management's expectations into practical recruitment and HR processes.
- Takes ownership. Can independently manage recruitment, attendance, employee queries, and payroll preparation.
- Communicates clearly. Can explain company rules firmly and professionally without creating unnecessary confusion.
