About the Project

The Way Immigration is an immigration consulting firm in Calgary, Canada. We're moving our website from a Duda white-label (reseller) account to a self-hosted WordPress site. The site has about 157 URLs: service pages, a blog with 100+ articles, and team pages.

This is a one-time project with a fixed scope. The contract ends when the migration is complete and signed off. It is not a full time job.

Responsibilities

- Recommend, buy and set up WordPress hosting in the company's name, along with SSL, backups and security.
- Move all pages, blog posts, images and team profiles from Duda to WordPress.
- Rebuild the existing site design and layout in WordPress.
- Recreate all website forms and test that every submission is delivered.
- Keep all SEO elements: URL structure, page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text and schema.
- Map and set up 301 redirects for every URL that changes, so search rankings are protected.
- Re-install and test Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and call tracking numbers.




- Make sure the site is mobile responsive and loads fast (Core Web Vitals).
- Build and test everything on a staging site before go-live.
- Handle the domain and DNS switch from Duda to the new host, with no downtime.
- After launch, submit the new sitemap to Google Search Console and fix any crawl errors.
- Hand over all logins, credentials and a short guide to the site setup.

Requirements

- 6 to 10 years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
- Proven experience migrating websites off Duda, including Duda white-label / reseller accounts. You'll need to show at least one example.
- Experience setting up hosting from scratch (server setup, DNS, SSL, email records).
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO for site migrations, including redirect mapping.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4 and conversion tracking.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Must work during our office hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Mountain Time, Monday to Friday.
- Until Nov 1, 2026 (MDT): 7:00 pm to 3:30 am IST
- From Nov 1, 2026 (MST): 8:00 pm to 4:30 am IST
- Must be able to finish the full migration within 1 to 2 months.
