JOB DESCRIPTION: FACTORY MANAGER - FABRIC DYEING

Location: Factory Premises

Department: Dyeing & Processing

Reporting To: Director / General Manager - Operations

Job Objective:

To manage complete factory operations for knitted fabric dyeing process - from grey fabric receipt to finished fabric delivery with quality, cost, and on-time delivery control

.Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Process Management

Plan daily dyeing batches as per orders - shade, GSM, lot size

Manage complete process: Grey Checking, Scouring, Bleaching, Dyeing, Washing, Finishing, Stentering, Compacting

Ensure right recipe, liquor ratio, temperature, and chemical consumption

Achieve daily production targets and minimize re-dyeing / re-processing

2. Quality Control

Ensure shade matching as per buyer lab dips and A4 swatches

Control fabric defects - GSM variation, shrinkage, color fastness, pilling

Coordinate with Quality Lab for testing reports

Reduce rejection % and maintain first-time-right % above 95%

3. Manpower & Operations Management

Manage team of Dyeing Masters, Operators, Lab Technicians, Helpers (30-80 staff)

Prepare shift planning, duty roster, and attendance

Train operators on SOPs, safety, and chemical handling

Ensure discipline and productivity on shop floor

4. Machinery & Maintenance





Ensure preventive maintenance of Soft Flow Dyeing Machines, Stenter, Compactor, Boilers

Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns

Monitor water, steam, and power consumption

5. Inventory & Costing

Control chemical, dyes, and auxiliaries stock and consumption cost

Maintain stock register and raise indents on time

Reduce water and energy cost per kg of fabric

6. Compliance & Safety

Ensure ETP / STP compliance, safety norms, and chemical handling procedures

Maintain factory records for audits and pollution control

Ensure zero accidents and proper PPE usage

Qualifications & Experience:

B.Tech / Diploma in Textile Technology / Textile Chemistry

8-15 years experience in Knitted Fabric Dyeing Factory, with minimum 3 years as Factory / Dyeing Manager

Solid knowledge of reactive, disperse dyes, knits processing

Experience handling 5-10 tons per day capacity unit preferred

Skills Required:

Shade matching and recipe correction

Manpower handling and leadership

Cost control and production planning

ERP / Production report handling

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
