The Role

The Assistant Manager - Accounting will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting, month-end book closure, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The role will work closely with business teams, auditors, and stakeholders to maintain solid financial controls and support management reporting.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure activities.




- Ensure accurate accounting of journals, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements.
- Perform variance analysis and support management reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

General Ledger & Reconciliations

- Conduct detailed GL scrutiny and balance sheet reviews.
- Review ledger balances and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Prepare and monitor bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
- Drive timely resolution of open reconciliation items.

Audit & Compliance

- Support statutory and internal audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
- Assist in statutory reporting and regulatory compliance activities.

Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Strengthen financial controls and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Collaborate with ERP teams to improve accounting and reporting processes.

You're a Good Fit If You:

- Have experience in accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
- Possess strong knowledge of GL accounting, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Have exposure to standalone and consolidated financial reporting.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Have experience working in ERP platforms such as SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, or similar systems.

Preferred Qualification

- CA / CA Inter
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Controllership.
- Strong understanding of:
- Financial Statements & Consolidation
- General Ledger Accounting
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Month-End Closing
- Audit & Compliance
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is essential.
