Role Overview

We are looking for a results-driven procurement professional to manage vendor relationships, negotiate competitive pricing, and ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials. The role will be responsible for optimizing the organization's Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), maintaining vendor accountability, ensuring purchase order accuracy, and coordinating with internal teams to enable seamless procurement and fulfilment operations.

Key Responsibilities

- COGS Ownership: Drive cost optimization across procurement activities and continuously improve purchase costs as business volumes scale.
- Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, credit terms, payment conditions, lead times, and other commercial terms to secure the best possible deals.
- Purchase Order Management: Ensure purchase orders (POs) accurately reflect customer orders, negotiated rates, quantities, and delivery timelines. Track each order through fulfilment and closure.
- Vendor Issue Resolution: Resolve material shortages, incorrect or damaged supplies, pricing discrepancies, and delayed dispatches, ensuring timely closure and appropriate documentation.
- Vendor Database Management: Maintain updated records of vendor pricing, product availability, lead times, and supply commitments to ensure alignment between sales commitments and procurement capabilities.
- Cross-functional Coordination:



Work closely with logistics, warehouse, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth procurement and material movement.
- Invoice and Payment Reconciliation: Reconcile purchase orders, Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), and vendor invoices to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely vendor payments.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, vendor performance, cost control, and purchase order tracking using data and systematic follow-ups.

What We're Looking For

- 5–10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or vendor management.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating purchase costs, improving commercial terms, and optimizing COGS.
- Experience in building materials, home interiors, retail, or e-commerce procurement will be a robust advantage.
- Solid vendor management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build productive long-term relationships.
- A high level of ownership, attention to detail, and a strong bias for action, with the ability to drive tasks through to closure without constant follow-ups.
- Comfortable managing frequent vendor interactions over calls and coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for pricing analysis, order tracking, and reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems; experience with Zoho is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
