Their daily responsibilities typically include:

- Installation: Fitting recent furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork according to blueprint specifications and local building codes.
- Routine Maintenance: Performing seasonal tune-ups, which involve cleaning coils, changing air filters, and lubricating moving parts to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting: Using specialized diagnostic tools to track down hidden issues like poor airflow, faulty thermostats, or refrigerant leaks.
- Repairs: Fixing or replacing broken components and recharging cooling systems.
