Job Title: Staff Nurse – Labour Room & Operation Theatre (OT)

Job Description:

KJK Hospital is inviting applications from experienced Staff Nurses to join our Operation Theatre (OT) team. The role involves providing safe, high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures while assisting surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient OT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare patients for surgery and provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care.
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists as scrub and circulating nurses during surgical procedures.
- Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile OT environment and follow aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and maintain accurate nursing documentation.
- Ensure proper functioning and readiness of OT equipment before procedures.
- Follow hospital protocols for infection control, patient safety, and emergency care.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists,



and nursing teams for efficient OT operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

- GNM / BSc Nursing with valid nursing registration (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of dedicated Operation Theatre (OT) nursing experience.
- Experience assisting in major and minor surgical procedures, preferably including obstetric and gynaecological surgeries.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and OT procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in emergency and high-pressure situations.
- Positive communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
