Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate patients and diagnose conditions requiring general surgical management.
- Perform routine and advanced general surgical procedures appropriate to the surgeon’s expertise and hospital facilities.
- Manage surgical cases involving the abdomen, gastrointestinal tract, hernias, appendix, gallbladder, and other general surgical conditions.
- Assess patients before surgery and provide appropriate postoperative care.
- Manage emergency surgical cases within the available facilities and clinical privileges.
- Monitor patient recovery, identify complications, and arrange further management when necessary.
- Coordinate with anesthesiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.




- Maintain accurate medical records and follow established clinical and infection-control protocols.
- Participate in surgical consultations and contribute to the effective functioning of the hospital’s surgical services.

Eligibility Criteria

- MS in General Surgery from a recognized medical institution.
- 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification clinical experience.
- Experience in independently managing a broad range of general surgical procedures.
- Ability to assess surgical emergencies and make appropriate clinical decisions.
- Valid medical registration and applicable professional credentials.
- Good communication, patient-management, and teamwork skills.
