JOB PURPOSE

To ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of construction materials and services while maintaining quality standards, approvedbudgets, supplier relationships and compliance with company procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive and verify Material Requisition Forms (MRFs) and purchase requests from Project Managers, Site Engineers and other departments.
- Check material specifications, quantities, project details, required delivery dates and supporting documents before procurement.
- Obtain quotations from approved and potential suppliers and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate rates, discounts, credit terms, transport charges and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and obtain approvals in accordance company authority and approval matrix.
- Ensure purchases are processed only against authorized requirements.
- Procure cement, steel, aggregates, bricks/blocks, plumbing and electrical materials, tiles, paints, waterproofing materials, and other constructionitems.
- Coordinate with technical teams to clarify project-specific specifications when required. Ensure materials reach the correct project site within the required timeline.
- Track pending orders and act early to prevent material shortages or work interruptions. Coordinate with site personnel regarding receipt, shortages, damages and replacements.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, delivery performance and payment terms.
- Maintain updated vendor details, quotations, negotiated rates and supplier records. Build qualified supplier relationships and explore cost-effective procurement options. Monitor vendor performance and report recurring quality, pricing, or delivery issues to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate with Sr. Management, Project Managers and Site Engineers on project requirements and delivery priorities.
- Align procurement schedules with Planning and Coordination and project execution plans.
- Coordinate with Accounts & Finance for invoice verification,



payment documentation and supplier reconciliation.
- Coordinate with site personnel to verify material receipt and resolve discrepancies. Escalate urgent requirements, delivery delays, price variations and procurement risks promptly.
- Maintain MRFs, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, delivery records and vendor documents (Purchase Bills) etc.
- Track purchase requests from receipt through order placement and delivery.
- Maintain a purchase order tracker and report pending orders, delayed deliveries and urgent requirements.
- Compare purchase rates with approved budgets, previous rates and available market benchmarks.
- Ensure complete documentation and compliance with company procurement procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Preferably 2–4 years of experience in construction procurement or purchasing. Knowledge of construction materials, supplier markets and procurement processes. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP experience, Email communication and purchase documentation.

AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

- Obtain quotations, negotiate rates, prepare comparative statements and process purchase requests within assigned responsibilities.
- Issue purchase orders only after the required authorization is obtained.
- Do not commit to purchases, credit terms or expenditure beyond delegated authority. Report material shortages, supplier issues, budget deviations and delivery risks promptly to the reporting manager

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
