Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and proactive Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, ensure the timely availability of materials, negotiate with suppliers, and control purchasing costs while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle daily purchase activities for raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and other mill requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate for the best rates and payment terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders as per company requirements.
- Coordinate with stores, production, maintenance, and accounts departments.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up on pending orders.
- Verify material specifications, quality, quantity, and delivery documents.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and invoices.
- Monitor inventory requirements and avoid material shortages or excess stock.
- Verify supplier bills and coordinate with the accounts department for payment processing.




- Prepare purchase reports and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure purchasing activities follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Any Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience

- 3–5 years of experience in purchase or procurement activities.
- Experience in the textile or spinning mill industry is preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good vendor management and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and inventory.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
- Good planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple purchasing activities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

A candidate with valuable market knowledge, supplier relationships, cost-control skills, and the ability to ensure uninterrupted material availability for mill operations.
