Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced U.S. tax reviewer and signer with extensive experience in business tax returns, particularly Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1120. The ideal candidate can independently review complex returns, identify and resolve technical tax issues, and ensure returns are accurate, complete, and ready for filing.

The primary focus is reviewing and signing returns, with preparation responsibilities as needed. Candidates must have substantial prior review and signing experience.

This full-time position begins in January 2027 with a 90-day probationary period. Continued employment will depend on demonstrated technical skills, work quality, teamwork, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

- Independently review business tax returns, particularly Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1120, including related state returns.
- Review individual and fiduciary returns, including Forms 1040 and 1041.
- Sign tax returns where appropriately authorized and assigned by the firm.
- Review financial statements, supporting schedules, and workpapers for accuracy and consistency with tax returns.
- Evaluate partnership and S corporation basis, distributions, allocations, depreciation, and other business tax issues.
- Identify technical issues, research applicable tax treatment, and resolve discrepancies before filing.
- Provide clear review comments and guidance to preparers.




- Prepare complex returns and make corrections as needed.
- Maintain organized workpapers and protect confidential client information.
- Manage multiple assignments and meet filing deadlines.
- Work additional hours during peak tax season as needed.

Required Qualifications

- At least five years of experience reviewing and signing U.S. tax returns, with substantial experience in business returns.
- Extensive knowledge of Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1120 and related federal and state tax requirements.
- Strong understanding of partnership and S corporation taxation, including owner basis and distributions.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1040 and 1041.
- Appropriate credentials and authorization to serve as a signing tax return preparer.
- Proficiency with U.S. tax preparation software.
- Strong technical research skills, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide constructive feedback to preparers.
- Reliable internet access and a workspace suitable for handling confidential information.
- Availability for some overlap with U.S. business hours and extended hours during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with CCH Axcess Tax.
- U.S. CPA or Enrolled Agent credentials.
- Experience working remotely with a U.S.-based tax firm.
