Key responsibilities
- Analyse solar irradiation and long-term meteorological datasets.
- Evaluate shading, terrain, drainage and site constraints.
- Coordinate preliminary plant layouts and DC/AC sizing.
- Assess module technologies, inverter configurations and degradation assumptions.
- Estimate energy generation, losses and uncertainty.
- Coordinate independent technical assessments.
- Support solar-wind hybrid optimisation and financial modelling.
- Document assumptions and sensitivity analyses for investors and lenders.
Candidate requirements
- 8+ years in solar engineering, resource assessment or project development.
- Familiarity with PVsyst or comparable yield-modelling tools.
- Understanding of utility-scale PV design and performance metrics.
- Robust analytical and documentation skills.
Success measures
- Bankable-quality resource and yield assessments, where commissioned.
- Reliable generation assumptions for project models.
- Technical risks identified before design freeze.
