Job Description: Full-Stack Developer (ERP & AI Automation)

About the Role

We are building a custom, unified ERP platform for a business that runs construction projects, real estate development, and apartment rentals and maintenance across multiple sites. We are looking for a full-stack developer who can combine several open-source applications (accounting, CRM, project management, HRMS, document management and others) into one application with a single dashboard. You will also add AI-driven automation to reduce manual work and improve decisions across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

ERP development

● Design, build and maintain the custom ERP across modules such as projects, procurement, inventory, contractors, billing, HR and payroll, accounting, tenants, leases, rent collection and maintenance.

● Support multiple projects and properties within one system, with project-wise budgets, costing, progress tracking and role-based access.

● Build REST/GraphQL APIs and backend services (Python primary, Java where required).

● Build responsive front-end interfaces in React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Open-source integration

● Evaluate, customize and integrate open-source tools (for example ERPNext/Odoo, Metabase/Superset, Keycloak, Nextcloud, OpenProject) into one unified application.

● Implement single sign-on, shared data models and API or webhook connections between systems.





● Build a central dashboard showing project status, cash flow, occupancy, rent dues, maintenance tickets, procurement and site progress.

AI and automation

● Automate workflows such as invoice and bill data extraction (OCR), purchase approvals, rent reminders, lease renewals and maintenance ticket routing.

● Build AI features such as chatbots or assistants for tenants and staff, cost and delay prediction, anomaly detection in expenses, and automated reports.

● Integrate LLM APIs, with vector search or RAG over project documents, contracts and drawings.

Engineering practice

● Design database schemas and optimize queries (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

● Write clean, tested, documented code and use Git-based workflows and code reviews.

● Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and CI/CD, on cloud or on-premise servers.

● Handle data security, backups, audit logs and access control.

● Work with management, site engineers, accountants and property managers to turn business needs into features.

Required Skills

● Python: Django, FastAPI or Flask; scripting and automation.

● React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.

● Java, preferably Spring Boot, for services and integrations.

● Strong SQL and relational database design; PostgreSQL or MySQL.





● REST API design and third-party system integration.

● Experience customizing or integrating open-source ERP/CRM/BI tools.

● Git, Docker, Linux and basic cloud deployment (AWS, Azure or GCP).

● Understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2, SSO).

Preferred Skills

● Experience with ERPNext/Odoo (Frappe or OWL frameworks).

● Practical AI/ML experience: OpenAI/Claude/open-source LLM APIs, LangChain, OCR, scikit-learn, or workflow tools such as n8n.

● Dashboards and BI (Metabase, Superset, Power BI, Grafana).

● Message queues and caching (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ).

● Domain knowledge of construction (BOQ, RA bills, subcontractor management), real estate (units, sales, payment schedules) or property management (leases, rent, maintenance).

● Mobile-friendly or PWA development for site and field staff.

● Payment gateway, GST/tax, WhatsApp/SMS/email integrations.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

● A portfolio or examples of ERP, business-application or automation projects.
