A leading agribusiness and manufacturing company in Nigeria is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its team.

-REQUIREMENTS
-B.Eng., B.Tech., Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the rice milling industry.
-Strong experience in plant, shutdown, preventive and breakdown maintenance.
-Positive knowledge of rice milling machinery, including parboiling systems, paddy dryers, dehuskers, polishers, graders, sorters, packing machines, conveyors and elevators.
-Experience in plant installation, commissioning, expansion and modernization projects.
-Knowledge of boilers, steam systems, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and other plant utilities.
-Proven ability to manage maintenance teams, contractors and service providers.
-Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication and reporting skills.




Proficiency in MS Office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
- Minimize equipment breakdowns and plant downtime.
- Supervise routine, shutdown and annual maintenance activities.
- Develop maintenance SOPs, checklists and equipment inspection procedures.
- Support plant installation, commissioning, upgrades and expansion projects.
- Supervise, train and manage maintenance technicians and mechanics.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, QC and other departments.
- Monitor equipment performance, maintenance costs and reliability KPIs.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
