Job Summary

To lead the Tool Room function and ensure timely development, manufacturing, maintenance and improvement of forging dies, trimming dies, punches, fixtures, gauges and special tooling, with focus on quality, tool life, cost, productivity and on-time delivery.Key Responsibilities

- Lead tool and die development from drawing review and design through manufacturing, trials and production approval.
- Manage hot/closed-die forging tooling, including blocker, finisher and trimming dies.
- Troubleshoot forging and tooling issues such as underfill, laps, cracks, mismatch, excessive flash and premature die failure.
- Manage CNC/VMC, EDM/WEDM, milling, grinding and other Tool Room operations.
- Plan Tool Room capacity, manpower and priorities to ensure on-time tooling availability.
- Establish preventive maintenance and monitoring systems to improve tool/die life and reliability.
- Drive tool cost reduction, productivity improvement, machining-time reduction and rework reduction.
- Coordinate with Production, Forging, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Purchase for tooling requirements.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling-related quality and production issues.
- Develop and manage Tool Room engineers,



tool makers, CNC operators and technicians.
- Manage external tooling suppliers and outsourced tool/die development.
- Support CAPEX planning, machine utilization and new technology implementation.

Candidate Profile

- 10–12 years of relevant experience in Tool Room / Tool & Die / Forging / Hand Tools / Engineering Manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on experience in forging die development, machining and tooling troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in team leadership, cost reduction, tool-life improvement and production support.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.

Pay: ₹720,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
