Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant – Data Modeling & Migration with solid hands-on expertise in both SAP PowerDesigner and ER/Studio Data Architect to lead enterprise-scale data model and metadata migration initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in data model assessment, migration planning, model conversion, metadata reconciliation, automation, and validation across multiple database platforms. Prior experience migrating from SAP PowerDesigner to ER/Studio is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end migration projects from SAP PowerDesigner to ER/Studio Data Architect.
- Assess and migrate Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models (CDM, LDM, and PDM).
- Execute model conversions using ER/Studio MetaWizard, ensuring accurate migration of entities, relationships, keys, domains, datatypes, and custom properties.
- Develop automation scripts and reusable migration frameworks using ER/Studio Automation Interface APIs.
- Perform model comparisons, synchronization, reconciliation, metadata validation, and defect resolution.
- Manage repository dependencies, shortcuts, custom extensions, and migration risks.
- Ensure data modeling standards, metadata quality, governance, and consistency throughout the migration process.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, data architects, and business stakeholders.
- Lead technical teams, migration workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
- Prepare migration documentation, validation reports, and implementation plans.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- SAP PowerDesigner: Repository Management, CDM/LDM/PDM, Domains, Dependencies, Shortcuts, Custom Extensions, and Impact Analysis.




- ER/Studio Data Architect: MetaWizard, Repository Management, Data Dictionary, Model Synchronization, and Automation APIs.
- Data Modeling: Enterprise Data Architecture, Relational Database Design, Metadata Management, and Data Governance.
- Migration Expertise: Source-to-Target Mapping, Model Conversion, Metadata Reconciliation, Validation, and Quality Assurance.
- Technical Skills: SQL, XML, Automation/Scripting, and experience with multiple DBMS platforms.
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale data model migration and technical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous migration experience between enterprise data modeling platforms.
- Direct experience with SAP PowerDesigner-to-ER/Studio migration.
- Experience developing migration automation accelerators and reusable toolkits.
- Knowledge of metadata modernization and repository transformation.
- Consulting experience with global enterprise clients.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Candidate Requirements

- 10+ years of overall relevant IT experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with both SAP PowerDesigner and ER/Studio Data Architect.
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise data modeling, metadata migration, and model validation.
- Ability to independently lead migration initiatives in a remote consulting environment.

Important: Candidates must have practical, hands-on experience with both SAP PowerDesigner and ER/Studio. Candidates with prior PowerDesigner-to-ER/Studio migration experience will be strongly preferred.
