A Laboratory In-Charge in a hospital manages daily diagnostic operations, supervises laboratory staff, ensures quality control, and maintains regulatory compliance.Job Summary

- Department: Laboratory Services [1]
- Reports To: Hospital Administrator, Laboratory Director, or Chief Medical Officer [1]
- Objective: Deliver accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic test results while maintaining a safe and accredited laboratory environment. [1]

Key Responsibilities

- Operations Management: Supervise daily workflow, sample collection, processing, and prompt reporting of test results. [1]
- Staff Supervision: Create duty rosters, manage attendance, assign shifts, evaluate performance, and mentor technicians. [1]
- Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Implement Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Control (EQC) programs to guarantee test accuracy. [1]
- Equipment Maintenance:



Monitor calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of analyzers, coordinating with biomedical engineers for repairs. [1]
- Inventory Control: Track reagents, test kits, and consumables, and authorize purchase requests to prevent stock-outs. [1]
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to standards such as NABL, NABH, or ISO guidelines, alongside proper biomedical waste disposal. [1]
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, and emergency teams regarding critical values and test turn-around times (TAT). [1]

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
