Job Description - Site Technician Position

Report to: Site Engineer

Job Description:

1. Routine Operations & Maintenance:

o Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on solar panels, inverters, electrical

systems, and other plant components.

o Clean and maintain solar panels, ensuring maximum efficiency and reducing the risk of

damage.

o Check and monitor inverters, electrical connections, and other components to ensure proper

functionality.

o Assist in the commissioning and decommissioning of plant systems, including routine checks

and maintenance activities.

2. Troubleshooting & Repairs:

o Diagnose faults in solar PV systems, electrical components, and associated systems.

o Perform corrective maintenance and repairs to ensure the plant’s systems are functioning

efficiently.

o Assist in troubleshooting issues in solar arrays, inverters, transformers, and other related

systems.

o Report any operational issues to the Site Engineer and provide input on corrective actions

and solutions.

3. Safety & Compliance:

o Adhere to all site safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations while performing duties.

o Follow safety instructions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

o Report safety hazards, incidents, and near-misses promptly to the supervisor.





o Participate in safety meetings and assist in promoting a safety-conscious work setting.

4. Monitoring & Performance Checks:

o Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems, identifying any abnormalities and

addressing issues as they arise.

o Record plant performance data, including power generation, equipment status, and any

faults.

o Conduct regular checks to ensure that the solar plant is operating at optimal capacity.

5. Inventory Management:

o Assist with maintaining an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.

o Ensure that necessary materials and equipment are available for routine and emergency

maintenance activities.

o Report on the need for additional tools, equipment, or spare parts to the Site Engineer or

Site Manager.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.

o Document any issues, failures, or system downtimes, and update records for future

reference.

o Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the site management and O&M;

team.

7. Team Collaboration:

o Work alongside other technicians, engineers, and the O&M; team to ensure the efficient

operation of the plant.

o Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance tasks and ensure timely

resolution of any issues.

o Assist in training and mentoring new technicians or junior staff members as needed.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
