Profile - Construction Material Engineer

Qualification - B.Tech/ B.E / Diploma - Civil

Experience - Min 5+ years of relevant experience in the construction or infrastructure industry.Strong knowledge of construction materials, material testing procedures, and quality control standards.Experience in site inspections, laboratory testing, and reviewing material test reports.Knowledge of IS codes, ASTM standards, QA/QC procedures, and project specifications.Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and construction quality documentation

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Construction Material Engineer to manage material testing, inspection, quality control, and compliance with project specifications and applicable construction standards. The candidate should have strong experience in construction or infrastructure projects, ensuring that all materials meet the required quality standards before and during execution.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect and verify the quality of construction materials, including cement, concrete, steel, aggregates, sand, bitumen, soil, and other project-specific materials.

* Conduct and coordinate laboratory and field tests to ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards.

* Review material test reports, mill test certificates, technical datasheets, and quality documentation.





* Ensure materials comply with project specifications, IS codes, ASTM standards, and other applicable requirements.

* Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC teams, contractors, suppliers, and third-party testing laboratories.

* Approve material samples and verify materials received at the construction site.

* Monitor concrete mix designs, soil compaction, aggregate grading, and other relevant material testing activities.

* Maintain material inspection reports, test registers, quality records, and compliance documentation.

* Identify non-conforming materials, raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), and coordinate corrective actions.

* Support internal and external quality audits and ensure adherence to project quality plans.

* Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of construction materials at the site.

* Prepare periodic material quality reports and ensure timely submission of test results.
