JOB DESCRIPTION – POKER DEALER

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled, professional and customer-focused Poker Dealer to join our premium poker room.

The Poker Dealer will be responsible for conducting poker games professionally, accurately and efficiently while maintaining complete control of the table, ensuring correct dealing procedures, chip handling, pot management and adherence to house rules.

The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of poker, strong mathematical ability, exceptional attention to detail and a confident, courteous personality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Game Dealing

- Deal poker games accurately and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Handle cards professionally and maintain proper dealing techniques.
- Conduct games such as Texas Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) and other variants as required.
- Maintain the correct sequence of action and ensure the game runs smoothly.
- Monitor blinds, betting rounds, pots and player actions.

2. Chip & Pot Management

- Accurately count and manage chips on the table.
- Build and distribute pots correctly.
- Verify bets, raises, calls and all-in amounts.
- Ensure correct payouts and side-pot calculations.
- Immediately report discrepancies to the Floor Manager.

3. Table & Game Control

- Maintain complete control of the table without unnecessarily interfering with players.
- Ensure players follow house rules and table procedures.
- Identify and immediately report irregularities, suspicious activity or disputes.
- Maintain a professional and neutral attitude toward all players.
- Keep the game moving at an efficient pace.

4. Customer Experience

- Create a welcoming, professional and premium gaming experience.
- Interact with players politely and respectfully.




- Handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- Maintain neutrality and never show favoritism toward any player.
- Assist new players in understanding basic table procedures without coaching their gameplay.

5. Compliance & Security

- Follow all company SOPs, gaming regulations and responsible-gaming procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding players, transactions and game activity.
- Follow chip, card and table security protocols.
- Immediately report suspected cheating, collusion, chip manipulation or other suspicious behavior.
- Cooperate with surveillance and security teams when required.

6. Table Presentation

- Maintain a clean and organized table.
- Handle cards, chips and equipment carefully.
- Ensure cards and gaming equipment are always handled according to SOP.
- Maintain professional grooming and uniform standards.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Texas Hold’em; PLO knowledge is an advantage.
- Excellent card-handling and dealing skills.
- Strong mental arithmetic and chip-counting ability.
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of poker terminology and betting procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and neutral during disputes.
- High integrity and skilled ethics.

Experience

Preferred:

- 1–5 years of experience as a Poker Dealer.
- Experience in a casino, poker room, card room or premium gaming environment.
- Candidates with professional poker-dealer training/certification may also be considered.

Freshers:



Candidates with formal poker-dealer training and excellent practical dealing skills can be considered.

Working Conditions

- Full-time role in a premium poker-room environment.
- Rotational shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Compensation

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹60,000+ per month, depending on experience and dealing proficiency.
