Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and result-oriented Legal Collection Officer to manage overdue loan accounts, coordinate legal recovery proceedings, and ensure timely collection of outstanding dues. The candidate will handle delinquent accounts, conduct field visits, coordinate with legal professionals, and support the company in recovering overdue amounts through lawful and ethical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Follow up with customers having overdue loan accounts and ensure timely recovery of outstanding dues.
- Conduct field visits to customers' residences, business premises, and other relevant locations for collection purposes.
- Handle delinquent and non-performing loan accounts and identify suitable recovery strategies.
- Issue or coordinate the delivery of collection notices and legal communications as authorized by the company.
- Coordinate with advocates, legal consultants, and external agencies regarding recovery cases.
- Assist in preparing documentation for legal proceedings, arbitration, repossession, and other recovery-related actions, as applicable.
- Track legal cases, maintain case records, and follow up on pending matters with the concerned parties.
- Support lawful vehicle repossession and recovery processes in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.




- Negotiate repayment plans with customers and encourage settlement of overdue accounts within authorized limits.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, field visits, payments, and legal follow-ups.
- Prepare regular collection reports and update management on recovery performance and pending legal cases.
- Ensure that all collection activities comply with applicable laws, RBI guidelines, and the company's code of conduct.

Eligibility Criteria

- Education: Graduate in any discipline. A degree or diploma in Law (LL.B.) will be an added advantage.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in loan collections, legal recovery, field collections, or a similar role, preferably in an NBFC or financial services company.
- Skills: Good communication, negotiation, follow-up, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of loan recovery procedures, legal notices, and relevant regulations.
- Willingness to travel for field visits within the assigned territory.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS Excel and collection reporting.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.
