Full Job DescriptionJob Summary

Actuate Technologies Private Limited is looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in mechanical design, fabrication, Special Purpose Machines (SPM), and conveyor systems. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks and the ability to develop accurate engineering designs for industrial material handling and customised machinery.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop industrial conveyor systems, SPM machinery, and fabricated structures.
- Prepare 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Create General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Design belt conveyors, roller conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, and customised material handling equipment as required.
- Select suitable materials and mechanical components, including motors, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, and drive systems.




- Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for manufacturing and assembly.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, procurement, and project teams.
- Review designs and implement improvements to enhance quality, performance, and productivity.
- Support manufacturing and installation teams with technical drawings and design clarifications.
- Follow engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, conveyor systems, fabrication, or SPM machinery.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, sheet metal fabrication, structural fabrication, and machine assembly.
- Understanding of mechanical components, power transmission, motors, and gearboxes.
- Experience in preparing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
- Positive problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Industry Experience

- Conveyor manufacturing and material handling systems.
- Industrial machinery and automation.
- Fabrication and engineering projects.
- Special Purpose Machines (SPM).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
