Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and versatile Naturalist, Yoga Teacher and Retreat Coordinator to join our team in a unique multi-role position that blends environmental engagement with wellness and retreat operations.

The selected candidate will lead guests on nature-based activities as the resort’s Naturalist, conduct daily yoga sessions (approximately 3 hours per day), and coordinate the monthly yoga retreats hosted at the resort. The role also includes supporting and managing the resort’s online and social media presence.

The ideal candidate should be under 35 years of age and have a minimum of two years of experience in teaching yoga. Given that the role involves leading guests on regular trekking activities covering several kilometers, candidates with a background in fitness training will be preferred.

In addition to strong yoga expertise, the candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm for outdoor activities such as trekking, guiding guests, basic astronomy, and an interest in plant life and nature studies. A relevant educational background in these areas will be an added advantage. The candidate should also be comfortable creating and posting content on social media, showcasing guest experiences, wellness sessions,



retreats, and nature activities.

We are seeking someone energetic, engaging, and knowledgeable, capable of creating meaningful nature and wellness experiences while effectively representing the brand online.

Key Skills

- Knowledge of Nilgiris flora, fauna, and indigenous communities (highly desirable)
- Ability to guide nature walks and explain ecological and conservation concepts
- Comfortable handling diverse wildlife (including snakes, if required)
- Certified Yoga Instructor (preferred) with strong knowledge of postures, pranayama, meditation, and holistic wellness
- Ability to design and conduct engaging yoga sessions for all skill levels
- Strong understanding of alignment, breathwork, and mindfulness practices
- Event or retreat coordination experience (preferred)
- Budgeting, vendor coordination, and guest management skills
- Experience managing social media platforms and building online communities
- Knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and content creation
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and interpreting engagement metrics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

Naturalist

- Lead nature walks and treks and educate guests about local biodiversity
- Identify and explain flora, fauna, and ecological features
- Maintain records of biodiversity in and around the property
- Conduct nature-based activities such as stargazing and plant and bird walks




- Inspire environmental awareness and conservation among guests

Yoga Teacher

- Conduct daily yoga sessions for individuals and groups
- Develop structured class sequences focusing on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness
- Provide personalized guidance and hands-on adjustments
- Promote wellness programs and yoga offerings at the resort

Retreat Coordinator

Core Operations

- Plan and schedule the monthly Jag Club yoga retreats from start to finish
- Coordinate with external vendors, if any
- Coordinate venue setup and logistics
- Manage the retreat budget and track expenses

Guest and Client Management

- Handle all guest inquiries, registrations, and pre-retreat communication
- Provide on-ground customer support during the retreat
- Manage feedback, reviews, and post-retreat follow-ups

Program Coordination

- Coordinate with external yoga instructors, naturalists, and facilitators
- Build daily itineraries and session schedules
- Ensure smooth transitions between sessions and activities

Marketing and Social Media (all roles)

- Manage and grow the resort’s social media presence, including Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms
- Create and schedule content (reels, stories, posts, blogs, videos, newsletters) for the resort and its retreats
- Engage with followers and respond to DMs, comments, queries, and reviews
- Analyze website traffic and engagement metrics
- Execute branding and communication campaigns
