1. Key Roles and Responsibilities

A. Machine Operation

- Operate the milling machine as per production requirements and approved work instructions.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Set up the milling machine, workpiece, fixtures, and cutting tools correctly.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut.
- Perform milling operations such as face milling, slot milling, drilling, and surface machining as required.
- Ensure the machine is operated within specified operating limits.

B. Quality Control

- Check component dimensions as per engineering drawings.
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Verify surface finish and dimensional accuracy of machined components.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and obtain approval from the Quality Inspector wherever required.
- Identify and report defective components, dimensional deviations, and machining defects.
- Prevent the production and movement of nonconforming products to the next process.

C. Safety and Housekeeping

- Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure machine guards and safety devices are in place and functioning.
- Never remove chips by hand; use an appropriate chip hook or brush after ensuring it is safe.




- Stop the machine before adjustments, cleaning, or tool changes, and follow lockout/tagout procedures wherever required.
- Maintain cleanliness around the machine and keep the workplace free from oil spills and obstructions.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.

D. Machine Maintenance

- Perform routine machine checks before starting production.
- Check lubrication, coolant levels, and machine condition.
- Clean the machine and work area after completing operations.
- Report abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, or machine malfunction to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Do not carry out unauthorized repairs or maintenance.

E. Production and Documentation

- Follow the production plan and daily work schedule.
- Achieve production targets without compromising quality or safety.
- Record production quantities, rejection quantities, and machine downtime accurately.
- Maintain tool usage and inspection records as required.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of machined components.
- Report production delays, material shortages, and process issues to the Production Supervisor.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
