We are seeking a skilled Backend & Data Processing Engineer to architect and manage our core data engine, advanced search algorithms, and automated reporting systems.
You will be responsible for building robust databases capable of handling massive datasets, developing custom fuzzy/phonetic matching logic to catch misspellings and variant spellings, integrating external legal/litigation APIs, and ensuring enterprise-grade data security.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Architecture & API Integration: Build and optimize high-performance database structures to ingest, store, and query massive volumes of global records, integrating third-party APIs seamlessly.
Advanced Phonetic & Fuzzy Search: Design and implement intelligent matching algorithms (such as Soundex, Metaphone, Levenshtein distance, and custom linguistic rules) to accurately detect misspellings, phonetic equivalents, and close variants.
Automated Report Generation: Develop backend logic to compile complex datasets into structured, professional, and downloadable report formats (PDF/document generation).
Data Security & Compliance: Implement robust data security protocols, encryption standards, and access controls to safeguard sensitive information across pipelines.
Required Technical Skill Sets:
Languages & Frameworks: Python (FastAPI / Django / Flask) or Node.js.
Databases & Search Engines: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch (with experience in vector or text-search configurations).
Data Processing & APIs: RESTful API design, asynchronous task queues (Celery / Redis), and large-scale data wrangling.
Security & File Generation: Data encryption best practices, secure workplace management, and automated document compilation tools (e.g., ReportLab, WeasyPrint, or native PDF libraries).
Experience : Minimum 2 year
