About the Role

Wellcaza is looking for compassionate, responsible, and patient-focused General Duty Assistants (GDA) to support our healthcare teams in providing safe and respectful patient care.

The selected candidates will work across Wellcaza Medicity, LFC Road and Wellcaza Geriatric MediCare, behind Edappally, depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist patients with daily activities and basic personal care.
- Support nurses and healthcare professionals in routine patient-care activities.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers and positioning.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and comfort of patient-care areas.
- Assist with transportation of patients, specimens and medical materials as instructed.
- Support elderly and dependent patients with patience and dignity.
- Follow infection-control, safety and hospital protocols.
- Assist in maintaining patient-care equipment and supplies.
- Report patient concerns or changes in condition promptly to the nursing/clinical team.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.

Eligibility

- Qualification:



GDA / General Duty Assistant / Healthcare Assistant certification preferred.
- Candidates with relevant healthcare, hospital, elderly-care or patient-support experience will be considered.
- Freshers with relevant training may also apply.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends/holidays when required.
- Compassionate attitude towards patients, particularly elderly and dependent patients.
