JOB TITLE: QA INCHARGE - DYEING & PROCESSING

Department: Quality Assurance - Dyeing Division

Location: Tirupur

Reporting To: Factory Manager / Director - Quality

JOB OBJECTIVE:

To ensure quality control of knitted fabric throughout the dyeing process from grey fabric inspection to final finished fabric delivery as per buyer standards

.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Grey Fabric Quality Check

Checkgrey fabric before dyeing - GSM, dia, defects, yarn variation, holes, lycra crack

Segregate lots as per quality and approve for dyeing

Coordinate with knitting / sourcing team for grey rejections

2. In-Process Quality Control (Dyeing)

Check fabric after scouring/bleaching - absorbency, whiteness, pH

Shade checking in dyeing - match with lab dip / A4 / original swatch in light box (D65, TL84, UV)

Check GSM, dia, shrinkage during stenter & compactor stage

Monitor process parameters - liquor ratio, temp, time

3. Final Finished Fabric Inspection

100% inspection or 4-point system checking for finished fabric rolls

Check defects - dyeing unevenness, shade variation, crease marks, holes, GSM variation, shrinkage, spirality, color fastness

Prepare final inspection report roll-wise

4. Lab Testing & Reports

Coordinate with QC lab for tests: GSM, shrinkage (wash & tumble), color fastness to washing/rubbing/perspiration, pH, spirality, bursting strength

Approve lab reports and release fabric for cutting / packing / export

Maintain test records for buyer audits

5. Buyer Standards & Compliance





Understand buyer quality manual - H&M;, Zara, Decathlon, Primark, etc

.Handle buyer inspections and third-party audits (QIMA, SGS, Bureau Veritas)

Prepare documents for audit - SOPs, corrective actions

6. Rejection Control & Corrective Action

Analyze daily rejections and re-dyeing cases

Do root cause analysis (RCA) for shade variation, GSM issues, defects

Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Target: Reduce rejection % below 2%, FTR above 95%

7. Team & Documentation

Handle team of 5-15 Quality Checkers, Lab Assistants, 4-Point Inspectors

Train checkers on defect identification and light box usage

Maintain daily QA reports, rejection register, lab test register, shade band approva

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

B.Tech / Diploma / B.Sc in Textile Technology / Quality Control

5to 12 years experience in Tirupur Knitted Fabric Dyeing Factory QA

Minimum 2 years as QA Incharge / QA Manager in Dyeing Unit

Must have buyer audit handling experience

SKILLS REQUIRED:

4-Point System, Light Box Shade Checking, GSM & Shrinkage Control

Lab Testing - Color Fastness, pH, Bursting Strength

Buyer Quality Manuals knowledge (International Buyers)

MS Excel - QA Reports, Rejection Analysis

Hindi/English for buyer communication is plus

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
