Experience: 2–5 Years Notice Period: Immediate to serving notice (15 Days) Location: Bangalore Work Mode: Hybrid Mandatory Key skill: Locust performance testing tool Job Summary: We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in performance testing and hands-on expertise in Locust, a Python-based load testing tool. The candidate should have a strong understanding of performance testing concepts, Python scripting, API testing, and performance bottleneck analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure application scalability, stability, and reliability under varying workloads. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests using Locust. Create and maintain Locust test scripts using Python. Simulate concurrent users and realistic user behavior to evaluate application performance. Conduct performance testing of REST APIs, web applications, and backend services. Configure user behavior, request patterns, wait times, load profiles, and test scenarios in Locust. Analyze response times, throughput, failure rates, and other performance metrics. Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues. Monitor application performance using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools. Prepare performance test reports and provide actionable recommendations. Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines where required. Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams,



and other stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle. Maintain test scripts, test data, and performance testing documentation. Mandatory Skills 2–5 years of experience in performance testing or software testing with relevant performance testing expertise. Hands-on experience with Locust performance testing. Robust knowledge of Python scripting. Experience in API performance testing, particularly REST APIs. Understanding of load testing, stress testing, spike testing, and endurance/soak testing. Knowledge of concurrent users, response time, throughput, latency, and error rates. Experience analyzing performance test results and identifying bottlenecks. Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, request/response handling, headers, authentication, and status codes. Knowledge of performance test planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect management. Preferred Skills Experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, or similar monitoring solutions. Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with databases and basic SQL queries. Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and backend architecture. Exposure to other performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6. Knowledge of Git or other version-control systems. Educational Qualifications BE/B.Tech, BCA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
