Without® is building one of India's first commercial-scale recycled materials plants — from the ground up. We turn post-consumer plastic waste into high-performance recycled PTA, polyolefins, and specialty compounds that replace virgin material in everything from automotive parts to planter pots. This isn't an internship where you shadow someone and fetch coffee. This is greenfield: a process being designed for the first time, a pilot plant you can put your hands on, and real calculations that feed real decisions. We're looking for a Process Engineering Intern who wants to learn how a plant actually gets built — not just read about it. You'll work alongside our R&D; and Process Engineering teams on our proprietary VerdiCycle technology — from mass balances and PFDs to trials on the pilot plant floor. Six months in, you'll have done work most graduates only see in a textbook. If that's the kind of start you want, read on. Requirements WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• A completed B.
Tech. or B.
E. in Chemical Engineering. We mean completed — if you're still pursuing your degree, this one isn't for you yet.
• A solid grip on the fundamentals: chemical engineering principles and unit operations. The basics, done properly.
• Exposure to mass and energy balance calculations. You should be able to set one up, not just define it.
• A basic understanding of BFDs and PFDs, and what they're actually for.
• Analytical thinking, a problem-solving instinct, and genuine willingness to be on the shop floor. This is a hands-on role, not a desk-only one.
• Preferred, not required: familiarity with Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD, or similar simulation software.
• Preferred, not required: exposure to equipment design, sizing, or pilot plant operations, or academic projects and internships in process design, simulation, or chemical manufacturing.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Process Development — Work directly with our R&D; process engineers on the greenfield project behind Without®'s VerdiCycle technology.
• Process Calculations — Run mass and energy balances and other core process engineering calculations. This is where the real learning starts.
• Process Diagrams — Prepare and develop Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
• Basic Engineering — Support preliminary equipment sizing, technical documentation, and process requirement evaluation.
• Pilot Plant — Get hands-on with process development trials and manufacturing activities at our operational pilot plant. This is where the process becomes real.
• Cross-Functional Learning — Work with R&D; and manufacturing teams to understand operations and spot optimisation opportunities. Benefits YOUR COMPENSATION
• A monthly stipend of INR 20,000.
• A 6-month internship with a real path to a full time Process Engineer role, based on performance and business need. We hire interns we want to keep.
• Beyond the stipend: direct mentorship from senior process engineers, real ownership of your work, and pilot plant time most graduates never get near.
