Position Summary:

To help drive this next chapter, we're seeking a talented and innovative Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering to join our Non-Functional Quality Engineering organization. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and advancing security testing, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and AI application security capabilities that support DIRECTV's enterprise technology ecosystem. You will partner with engineering, architecture, security, and quality engineering teams to improve application resilience, identify vulnerabilities, and strengthen enterprise security posture.

The ideal candidate combines strong offensive security expertise, a passion for application security, and a commitment to engineering excellence and continuous innovation.

Job Responsibilities:

Security Engineering:

- Perform application, API, and infrastructure security assessments.
- Conduct penetration testing against web, mobile, API, cloud, and enterprise systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities and work with engineering teams to implement remediation strategies.
- Support ongoing security validation efforts across critical technology platforms.

Quality & Security Delivery:

- Partner with developers, architects, and platform teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct threat assessments, vulnerability reviews, and security validation activities.
- Support secure development practices and DevSecOps initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous testing and enterprise quality engineering objectives.

Security Automation & Innovation:

- Develop and support automation solutions that improve security testing effectiveness.




- Evaluate emerging security technologies and tooling.
- Contribute to AI application security and LLM security testing initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across quality and security engineering practices

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

- 4-6 years of software engineering, cybersecurity, or application security experience.
- Experience performing offensive security and penetration testing activities.
- Strong understanding of secure software development principles.
- Experience identifying and remediating application vulnerabilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile software delivery environments.
