Area(s) of responsibility Senior Macro Conversion Engineer (5A) Role Summary Serve as primary technical lead responsible for reverse engineering Rocket terminal emulator macros or VB (excel based macros) and converting them into IBM PCOMM-based automation solutions while preserving business functionality, performance, and output integrity.

Key Responsibilities
Macro Analysis and Conversion
• Analyze Rocket macro scripts and workflows.
• Reverse engineer business logic and process dependencies.
• Convert Rocket macros using:
• VBA

• PowerShell
• PCOMM HACL Automation
• EHLLAPI Automation
• COM Automation Solutions Mainframe Automation Development
• Automate:
• Host navigation
• Screen recognition
• Protected/unprotected fields
• Function key processing
• File transfers
• Multi-session operations
• Batch processing Reliability Engineering
• Replace hard-coded delays with:
• Screen-ready checks
• Cursor-position validation
• Host synchronization techniques
• Field readiness validation
• Implement:
• Logging
• Error handling
• Retry mechanisms
• Recovery workflows Documentation
• Create design documentation.
• Generate macro mapping documents.

• 12+ years experience with:

• Deep understanding of:
