Kitab

Hyderabad

Make ancient wisdom impossible to scroll past. Kitab turns the Bhagavad Gita and the Puranas into daily guidance for modern life. We're looking for a Story Architect to own our short-form video and social visuals: reels, carousels and cover frames that people stop for, finish and share. Story Architect – Senior Video Editor & Visual Creative Kitab
· Full-time
· In office, Hyderabad
· 3+ years
· AI-native role About Kitab Kitab brings ancient wisdom into modern life, with clear, practical guidance for everyday problems: stress, relationships, purpose and decisions. Everything we build serves three pillars: Know Yourself, Grow Yourself, Free Yourself. Kitab is backed by Sunera Group, led by founder Ravi Reddy Kaki, who has built and exited companies before. We're a new product, but not a first-time team. Reports to: Ganesh Bende, Marketing & Branding Lead

What you'll do
• Edit short-form videos from raw footage, stock, AI voice, AI avatars and motion assets into finished, on-brand pieces
• Shape the story: hook, pacing, structure, music, sound design, captions and the final beat
• Design carousels, static posts, thumbnails and cover frames that match the reels
• Bring Kavi, our 2D pigeon guide, to life in simple animations
• Build video and visual templates so quality holds as volume grows
• Keep Kitab's dark, cinematic look consistent across everything Leadership sets the content pillars and direction (about 80% of the brief). The craft and creative judgment that make it land are yours. What you'll make
• Wisdom reels, 15–60 sec
• Talking-head and podcast clips, 30–90 sec
• AI-avatar and AI-voice pieces, 30–60 sec
• Motion-led explainers, 60–120 sec
• Carousels, statics, thumbnails and cover frames Volume: around 30–50 short-form videos a month once settled, plus companion visuals. Quality comes first; volume grows as your workflows mature. How AI fits this role
• Prompt Claude for alternate hooks,

tighter cuts and caption variants, and judge which is strongest
• Direct ElevenLabs voice for pacing and pronunciation, and fix what sounds synthetic
• Make HeyGen avatar pieces feel human and on-brand, not uncanny
• Use Higgsfield, Midjourney or similar for backgrounds, B-roll and concepts, with respectful, accurate depictions of Indian culture and sacred imagery
• Speed up edits with auto-captions, transcript editing and AI clean-up, without lowering quality
• Spot AI artefacts and off-tone output before anything ships. A human signs off every frame. What AI-native means here You use AI every working day, not occasionally. You keep a prompt library for visuals, voice, captions and variations, you can show us the prompts behind your best work, and each piece gets faster than the last. Must-haves
• 3+ years of professional video editing, with short-form vertical edits that hold attention
• Motion graphics and kinetic typography
• Carousel and static design with strong typography and layout
• Strong sound sense: music, mixing, sound design and voice clean-up
• Hands-on AI tools in a real editing workflow, including prompt engineering
• Visual taste and restraint: you know when an effect helps the message and when it's noise Tools you must know
• Editing: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro, plus CapCut
• Motion: After Effects or equivalent
• Design: Figma, Photoshop or Canva
• AI: Claude or ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, HeyGen
• Workflow: ClickUp, Google Drive or Frame.io for reviews Good to know: Higgsfield, Midjourney or Runway, Illustrator,

Descript, 2D character animation The creative thinking we admire Co–Star's text-led restraint, Spotify Wrapped's shareable motion systems, CRED's cinematic storytelling, and Headspace and Finch's gentle characters. Tell us what you'd borrow for Kitab. Who you are Experience gets you the interview. Who you are gets you the role. We look for people who are grounded, curious, accountable, kind, humble and purpose-driven, and whose everyday life reflects what Kitab stands for:
• Know Yourself: you have a way to reflect, whether journaling, meditation, prayer, long walks or quiet time
• Grow Yourself: you read books, not just feeds, and keep learning
• Free Yourself: you create more than you consume, and you can switch off
• Conscious action: you wouldn't make work that misleads or harms people
• Discipline and balance: healthy rhythms of sleep, movement and routine
• Service: you give back in some way This isn't about religion, diet, rituals or background. People of every faith and none belong at Kitab. Compensation Up to ₹50,000 a month for a strong portfolio with 3+ years. Experienced editors: 10–20% above current salary, based on portfolio and assignment. Hiring process 1. Portfolio review 2. Timed editing assignment with assets provided: 24 hours for a talking-head edit, 24–48 hours for a motion-led piece 3. Craft interview with our video and design team 4. Culture conversation with Ganesh 5. Offer

How to apply
Apply here, then email 3–5 pieces (not a full showreel) to [email protected] with the subject "Story Architect – [Your name]". Include at least 2 vertical edits, 1 motion piece, 1 carousel or static set, and 1 piece made with AI tools and the prompts behind it. For each, tell us your role and the tools you used. Add one habit that keeps you grounded.
