Freshers / Interns Industry: Electric Vehicles (EV) Employment Type: Internship

About Us
At Magron, we are advancing the future of electric mobility. We believe the next generation of Electric Vehicles should charge seamlessly without the friction of physical cables. We are actively developing advanced wireless charging technology for electric vehicles, and we are seeking dedicated engineering professionals to contribute to this commercial vision. The Role: As a Power Electronics Intern, you will collaborate closely with our core engineering team to design, prototype, and optimize the hardware that drives our wireless chargers. You will bridge the gap between theoretical electromagnetics and practical circuit design, addressing complex challenges in power transfer, efficiency, and thermal management. This position requires immediate practical involvement with physical hardware and active participation in laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the prototyping, testing, and debugging of power electronic circuits, including inverters, rectifiers, and DC to DC converters.
• Contribute to the design and tuning of capacitor and inductor compensation networks to maximize power transfer efficiency.
• Apply core principles of magnetic and inductive coupling to enhance the performance of transmission coils.
• Implement and evaluate closed loop feedback control systems to ensure stable and efficient power delivery under varying load conditions.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, analyze waveform data,

and collaborate with senior engineers to refine hardware designs. Required

Qualifications:
• Agility and Problem Solving: A highly adaptable professional who excels when analyzing complex technical challenges and learns new concepts rapidly.
• Core Power Electronics: A robust foundational understanding of power converter topologies, specifically inverters, rectifiers, buck converters, and boost converters.
• Electromagnetics: Comprehensive knowledge of wireless transmission principles, general electromagnetism, and magnetic coupling dynamics.
• Systems Thinking: A explicit understanding of closed loop control logic and feedback mechanisms in physical hardware systems.
•

Education:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related academic discipline. Preferred Software and Simulation

Skills:
• Familiarity with power electronics and electrical simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, LTspice, PLECS, or equivalent platforms.
• Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools such as ANSYS Maxwell for wireless power transfer applications, including coil modeling, magnetic field analysis, inductance and mutual inductance extraction, coupling coefficient analysis,

and loss estimation.
• Basic exposure to ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Icepak, or similar thermal simulation tools for analyzing thermal behavior and heat dissipation in power electronics hardware
• Ability to use simulation tools to correlate electromagnetic, circuit level, and thermal behavior with physical prototype results. Preferred

Qualifications:
• Practical Project

Experience:
Demonstrated success in building a physical, functional hardware project from inception, particularly related to charger systems, motor drives, or power transfer mechanisms
• Specialized Coursework: Completion of advanced academic subjects or research dedicated to Power Electronics, Electric Drives, or Applied Electromagnetics.
