- Founder What this role actually does You own organic search performance for a portfolio of 8–10 D2C brands, keyword strategy, technical health, content direction and answer engine optimisation. You work alongside the media buyers and account managers so organic compounds on top of paid instead of running in a separate lane. This is a lead role, not a solo one. You set the strategy and direct a team of three who execute with you. About Studio APS Studio APS is a performance marketing agency in Kolkata. We manage crores in annual ad spend across Meta, Google and Amazon for rapid-growing D2C brands, some you’ve seen on Shark Tank, some backed by Unilever, Amazon and Fireside Ventures. We work in pods, go deep on fewer brands, and measure ourselves on revenue rather than rankings. Our clients include One8, Inde Wild, Fixderma, Lux, FixMyCurls, Lakshita and Truth & Hair. Your week, roughly
• Own SEO strategy and delivery across 8–10 D2C brand accounts
• Lead technical SEO — audits, schema, crawl fixes, Core Web Vitals, page speed
• Optimise product, category and blog pages for real search intent
• Write briefs for the content writer and review what comes back
• Keyword research and mapping across your accounts, refreshed monthly
• Track rankings, traffic and revenue through Google Search Console and GA4
• Build for AEO — structuring content to surface in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI results
• Direct off-page strategy and earned link acquisition
• Manage Google Business Profiles where brands have a local presence
• Present monthly organic performance to clients What we’re looking for
• 3+ years in SEO, ideally with D2C or eCommerce brands




• Solid technical foundation — GA4, GSC, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SE Ranking
• Comfortable running several client accounts at once
• You think in revenue and business outcomes, not just rank positions
• You can hold a client call and explain why traffic moved
• AEO and AI search experience is a bonus, not a requirement. We’ll train the right person This probably isn’t for you if
• You’ve only ever worked on one website or one brand
• You’ve never had to explain a drop to a client

We build organic leadership internally rather than hiring it in, and this is the seat it comes from. How we work here This is a full-time, in-office role at our Park Street office.
