- Hyatt Centric Bengaluru Airport Summary A Halwai is responsible for preparing Indian sweets, snacks, and traditional food items while maintaining quality, hygiene, and food safety standards. The role involves ingredient preparation, cooking, decorating sweets, and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare a variety of Indian sweets such as laddoo, barfi, gulab jamun, rasgulla, peda, jalebi, and other traditional products.
• Prepare snacks and namkeen items as required.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production requirements.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils safely.
• Monitor cooking temperatures and food quality standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work area.
• Follow food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Check raw materials for quality and freshness before use.




• Maintain stock of ingredients and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist in packaging and storage of finished products.
• Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients. Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in preparing Indian sweets and traditional snacks.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Valuable understanding of ingredients, measurements, and cooking techniques.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift ingredients/materials when required.
• Attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Experience
• 1-5 years of experience as a Halwai, Sweet Maker, or in a similar food production role.
