Job Title Windchill Migration Architect/Lead Locations Pune / Bengaluru Experience 7-17yr Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Windchill Migration Architect to lead the architecture, planning, and execution of large-scale Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) migration and transformation programs. The role will define migration strategy, architecture roadmaps, data conversion frameworks, and deployment approaches for migrating legacy PLM/PDM platforms and repositories to PTC Windchill. The ideal candidate will combine deep Windchill expertise with strong engineering data management, migration architecture, validation, and stakeholder leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead the architecture and execution of large-scale Windchill migration, consolidation, modernization, and transformation programs.
· Define migration strategies, target-state architecture, roadmaps, data conversion frameworks, cutover plans, and deployment approaches.
· Assess legacy PLM/PDM platforms and repositories, identify data and process gaps, and design migration solutions to PTC Windchill.
· Architect end-to-end data migration processes covering extraction, profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, loading, reconciliation, and validation.
· Lead migration of Parts, CAD Documents, WTDocuments, BOMs, product structures, classifications, AML/AVL, and change objects.
· Ensure data integrity, traceability, relationships, versioning, lifecycle states, and engineering configuration are maintained during migration.
· Develop migration architecture, integration patterns, mock-migration plans, validation rules, exception handling,



and rollback strategies.
· Coordinate with PLM functional teams, engineering stakeholders, data owners, integration teams, vendors, and business leadership.
· Manage migration risks, dependencies, defects, cutover readiness, and post-migration stabilization.
· Establish governance, technical standards, documentation, and progress reporting across migration workstreams. Required Technical Skills and Experience
· 10–18 years of experience in PLM implementations, upgrades, data migration, and transformation programs.
· Solid expertise in PTC Windchill PDMLink, including Product Structure Management, Change Management, Document Management, Classification, and Workflow.
· Proven experience architecting Windchill migration, consolidation, modernization, or cloud transformation initiatives.
· Hands-on migration experience from one or more source platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault ENOVIA, Oracle Agile PLM, SAP PLM, SmarTeam, or legacy repositories.
· Strong understanding of engineering data management, CAD data, BOMs, product configurations, revisions, versions, lifecycle states, and change processes.
· Experience with data mapping, transformation rules, data quality, reconciliation, migration validation,



and cutover planning.
· Ability to translate business and engineering requirements into scalable migration architecture and execution plans.
· Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Windchill integrations, APIs, loaders, migration utilities, and automation approaches.
· Exposure to enterprise integrations involving ERP systems such as SAP and downstream engineering/manufacturing applications.
· Experience with cloud migration or hosting transformations for PLM platforms.
· Relevant PTC Windchill or PLM certifications, if available. Key Deliverables

· Data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and quality-control approach.
· Mock migration, cutover, rollback, and deployment plans.
