Full-Time Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years Industry: Wedding Planning, Event Design & Luxury Decor Job SummaryKonark Weddings is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Decor Designer to lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of décor designs for luxury weddings and premium events. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of wedding aesthetics, colour palettes, floral styling, fabrics, furniture, lighting, and spatial design. The candidate should be capable of translating client briefs into compelling design concepts and ensuring their seamless execution in coordination with internal teams, vendors, and production professionals. This role requires a balance of creativity, client management, technical design understanding, and hands-on involvement in on-site execution. Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Creative Conceptualization & Design
• Develop innovative wedding décor concepts, themes, mood boards, colour palettes, and design presentations.
• Design and conceptualize stages, mandaps, entrances, dining areas, floral installations, and experiential event spaces.
• Research current wedding décor trends, design innovations, materials, textures, and international design inspirations.
• Ensure all design concepts align with client expectations and the company's premium brand positioning. 2. Client Coordination & Presentations
• Participate in client meetings to understand event requirements, preferences, budgets, and creative expectations.
• Present design concepts, mood boards, and décor proposals professionally.
• Incorporate client feedback and revise designs while maintaining creative consistency.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure clear communication of approved designs. 3. Design Development & Technical Coordination
• Prepare detailed design presentations, layouts, elevations,



and visual references.
• Coordinate with the design team for 2D layouts, technical drawings, measurements, and detailing.
• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and feasible for on-site execution.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and consistency before final approval. 4. Vendor & Production Coordination
• Coordinate with fabricators, florists, furniture suppliers, production teams, and other vendors.
• Communicate design specifications, dimensions, materials, finishes, and quality standards clearly.
• Assist in sourcing suitable décor materials, fabrics, props, furniture, floral elements, and accessories.
• Monitor design-related requirements and coordinate with stakeholders to minimize execution gaps. 5. In office Execution & Quality Control
• Supervise the installation and execution of approved décor concepts at wedding and event venues.
• Conduct site visits and assess venue dimensions, layouts, and execution requirements.
• Resolve design and installation challenges in coordination with the production and execution teams.
• Maintain high standards of finishing, colour accuracy, detailing, and overall visual presentation.
• Ensure timely completion of décor setups according to event schedules and approved designs. 6. Team Leadership & Project Ownership
• Guide junior designers and coordinate the team's design activities and deliverables.
• Review design outputs and maintain consistency across multiple wedding functions.
• Take ownership of assigned projects from initial conceptualization through final execution.
• Coordinate with clients, management, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.



Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in wedding décor, event design, exhibition design, luxury hospitality, or a related creative field.
• Strong understanding of colour theory, floral styling, fabrics, furniture, lighting, textures, and spatial aesthetics.
• Proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint, Photoshop, or other relevant design and presentation tools.
• Knowledge of 2D layouts, elevations, technical drawings, and design detailing will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
• Strong vendor coordination, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to event locations and work on-site during wedding setups and live events.
• Strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and a practical approach to design execution. Key Performance Expectations
