Junior Design Engineer – FPV Drones Company: Aviation Indeed Role: Junior Design Engineer – FPV Drones

Experience:
0–1 year, with at least 6 months of hands-on drone-related experience Role Overview We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer with practical experience in drone development and mechanical design, preferably FPV drones. The candidate should have knowledge of 3D CAD modelling, mechanical components, prototyping, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design and develop FPV drone frames, arms, motor mounts, and other mechanical components.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), technical drawings, and design documentation.
• Apply GD&T; principles and basic tolerance analysis.




• Work with materials such as carbon fibre, aluminium, and plastics.
• Support prototyping using 3D printing, CNC machining, and other fabrication methods.
• Assemble prototypes and conduct mechanical fitment checks and testing.
• Troubleshoot design issues and implement improvements based on test results.
• Coordinate with electrical, avionics, production, and testing teams. Required Skills
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modelling and assemblies.
• Understanding of mechanical design and engineering drawings.
• Practical knowledge of drone design, assembly, integration, or development.
• Basic understanding of GD&T; and BOM preparation.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing. Educational Qualifications
• BE/BTech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Minimum Requirements
• At least 6 months of practical drone-related experience.
• Candidates with FPV drone design or development experience will be preferred.
• Robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
