Role Description The Machinist role at Hypoid Technologies LLP is a full-time, on-site position based on site. The Machinist will operate and maintain machining equipment used for onsite machining, line boring, cold cutting, and related engineering tasks. Responsibilities include setting up machines, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, preparing tools and materials, and performing precision measurements to ensure parts meet required tolerances. The role also involves conducting routine equipment inspections, following safety and quality procedures, collaborating with supervisors and engineers on job planning, and completing documentation for work performed. The Machinist may work at various client locations and must be comfortable with field-based industrial environments. Qualifications




• Strong technical skills in operating conventional and portable machining equipment (e.g., insitu machinea, milling machines, line boring machines, cutting tools).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in measuring and inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges) and working to close tolerances.
• Experience with industrial maintenance, onsite machining, and tasks such as cold cutting, controlled bolting, and heat exchanger work is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe handling of heavy equipment and tools.
• Valuable problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot machining and alignment issues in the field.
• Ability to work in industrial environments, including at height or in confined spaces, as required, and to travel to client sites within the region.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians.
• Relevant vocational training or diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering, Fitter/Machinist trade, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Previous experience as a Machinist or field technician in heavy industry, oil and gas, power plants, or similar sectors is preferred.
