About the role
This is not a single-company finance role. The group comprises multiple separately run entities, each with its own business model, margin structure, working-capital cycle and stakeholders. You will be the single financial voice that makes them comparable, accountable and fundable. At least 5 of those years in FP&A; leadership for a multi-entity or multi-business group. 2 Team builder: Has hired, structured and managed an entire FP&A; function end to end (analysts through managers), and has set its processes, calendar and quality standards. 3 Planning and forecasting: Has built the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts and long-range plans from scratch, with clear business drivers. Has also built integrated three-statement models and cash-flow forecasts across entities, including inter-entity funding. 4 Performance ownership:
Has owned P&L;, margin and variance analysis at business-unit and entity level, and has run review cycles in which business heads were held to the numbers. Working knowledge of Ind AS, GST and multi-entity compliance, including related-party and inter-company dealings. 5 Reporting and presence: Has built MIS and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool that leadership uses. Can present to promoters, boards and lenders and hold a position under challenge. Positive-to-haves
• Exposure to two or more of: real estate or hospitality, F&B; or retail chains, education, healthcare, especially asset-heavy or multi-location unit economics.
• Experience supporting fundraising, debt syndication or lender and investor due diligence.
• Background in a CFO office, consulting or Big 4 advisory, or an additional credential such as CFA or an MBA in Finance. What success looks like (first 12 months)
• One consolidated planning calendar and a common KPI framework across all entities.
• A reliable monthly MIS within a fixed number of working days after month-end.
• A rolling 13-week cash forecast and a 12-month forecast the leadership trusts.
• Entity-level and unit-level profitability visibility that changes capital-allocation decisions.
